East Riding Retired Greyhounds charity, East Yorkshire

East Riding Retired Greyhounds is an independent charity launched in September 2018 and run solely by a small, dedicated team of volunteers. Our Trustees and volunteers have many years experience of homing greyhounds since first adopting greyhounds in 2002!

We are a self-funded organisation and rely on the generosity of supporters, owners and the public to help fund our greyhounds in kennels and provide the care they need while they wait for their forever home. We attend fairs, country shows and fundraising events throughout the year to promote greyhounds as pets and to let people meet these gentle, loving, intelligent dogs.

Our greyhounds are cared for in private kennels, but we also have greyhounds still with their trainers and either waiting to come to us or move straight into a new home.

East Riding Retired Greyhounds are proud to be supported by Pets at Home, Anlaby and we attend in-store events and promotions every month – click here to find out about our upcoming events.
